The D4 really rock!!! They are the next best thing to come out of New Zealand since The Datsuns and definitely worth going to see.
One band member kindly posed for a Phlem photograph and to get over the flash that nearly blinded him (sorry about that!) he had a cigarette with us as we bombarded him with Phlem flyers! How annoying are we? Haha!

Phlem favourite tune: 'John Rock'.

The Bellrays played continuously for the next hour or so with no breaks, which was really rock, but confusing to figure out when each song began and ended. They did stop once when the Tina Turner-esque front woman took it really personally that the crowd were not replying to her taunts of 'are you feeling it!?', 'you can say yes, you can say no, but what you can NOT do is say nothing!'. This was very entertaining, but quite intimidating and preacher-like, which, we guess, was the effect she was aiming for! The crowd became even more excited when she jumped into them and sang to the hoards of men now surrounding her, as her bass player husband leapt about on stage. By the end of this energetic performance the preaching seemed to pay off as everyone had seen the light and joined the church of The Bellrays!!. Amen.

Phlem favourite tune: was They glued your head on upside-down'. ROK!
